Child Physiotherapy

At Movement Lab, we perform a movement/postural assessment on each patient, in order to provide individualized rehabilitation and exercise programs to meet your goals and needs. Our mission is not just to relieve pain but to restore function and enhance performance. Rehabilitation includes: postural re-education, mobility exercises, stability training, taping techniques, and more. This approach to injury management will enhance healing and help prevent further injury.

Expecting a Sibling

Chiropractors can provide safe, effective and drug-free conservative care to relieve pain and improve function during pregnancy and after birth. Studies have shown that manual therapy can help decrease pain in pregnancy and labour. At Movement Lab, we combine manual therapy with exercises to rehabilitate postural changes and help prepare you for childbirth and ensure a faster recovery. We can also provide paediatric assessments for your infants and children to ensure that their developmental milestones are being met.

Custom Made Orthotics are corrective devices designed to help normalize foot biomechanics. At Movement Lab, we combine gait analysis with 3D scanning technology to seamlessly mold the orthotic to not only your foot, but also to your footwear. There are several common symptoms that may indicate misalignment of the feet. You may be a candidate for orthotics if: one side of the sole of your shoe wears out faster than the other, you have chronic heel, knee or lower back pain, or your feet point inward or excessively outward when you walk.

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive, fast and long-lasting pain relief treatment.  Shockwave Therapy accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue.  Its main assets are fast pain relief and mobility restoration.  It is commonly used to treat shoulder injuries, chronic Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, elbow tendinopathies and chronic stages of myofascial pain syndromes.  In many instances, Shockwave Therapy is most effective in cases where the human body has not been able to heal itself on its own.
